Before she found her kindred spirits, Miss Harland lived in the lonesome countryside and her only companions were her small family of Von Trapp-alikes, a goat named Marigold, and Mother Nature. Background melodies and lazy summer nights around the campfire encouraged Hayley to try her hand at the guitar.

Her newfound talent and joyful demeanor coupled with her passion for storytelling developed into the cheery sound you hear today. In the early days, with gentle persuasion, she played herself on to the stages of Reading, Guilfest and Small World stage at Glastonbury, proving her presence was far from out of place.

She ventured out of the countryside to the Academy of Contemporary Music where she found the band she had been waiting for. Their likeminded thinking and combined skills heighten the sweetness of the sound of what you know and love as The Club of Lonely Hearts.

"Hayley is pretty much the full package. A lovely voice, great quirky songs and amazing on the eye. She is a real breath of fresh air, who given the right guidance, will make it in the industry" - Ben Walker, BBC Radio 2

"Those who haven't heard the uncompromising and heartfelt lyrics of singer, songwriter Hayley Harland are in for a treat. With a knack for making catchy melodic songs, the results are spellbinding....." - James O'Toole, MBC PR
